In light of recent happenings (not even the most recent ones, but those of the last year), and because I am aware that many users may feel tempted to jump off the LJ ship and that the most common choice of refuge is Dreamwidth, I decided to create a Hydeology community over there.

I know this community is pretty dead, and as the sole maintainer, I know that is largely my fault. I want to breathe some life into this place once the busy holidays have passed. I'll be asking for input from you members to learn exactly what it is you expect to get from Hydeology!

If you have a DW account, please also join me at our home away from home, http://hydeology.dreamwidth.org/. It doesn't look like much right now, but hoping to take time soon to fix it up and make it look spiffy.

The word through the DW twitter grapevine is that they plan to unveil a community importing feature very soon (if not today), so I will be able to make an exact copy of this community. When that happens, any of our members who make a full transition to DW will still be able to enjoy everything this community offers, and hopefully, that will be worth something.

For now, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas, Happy Winter Solstice, and Happy Holidays!

anyway Hyde married Megumi in 2000 but their no pictures og the wedding,then he had a son in 2003
he's like 7 now.Theres no pictures of him i just wonder if he looks like Hyde or not those exotic looks^^
Miyavi show pics of lovlie(his daughter).I know Hydes private but is he hidin his fam too??

Anyway does anyone have baby pic of hyde i saw one but cant even find any on google

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but I suppose if it's not, this post will just get deleted. XD

So I'm thinking of getting Hyde's angel wing tattoo, and I'm looking for pictures. I've collected a few, but none are particularly high quality. I saw the wing post on _hydeist but sadly most of the pics have been deleted. So any more pics anyone can spare would be greatly appreciated!

I also, at one point, saw a vector file of just the design (it looked like it was taken off a Hydeist t-shirt or something). Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of something like that?

I feel a bit silly posting in this comm since it's been pretty inactive, but I'm going for it anyway. I've seen several people mention online that they think Hyde has had a facelift recently, or that they've at least heard rumors of him having undergone such a procedure. I admit, I have been thinking that he's been looking a little funky lately, but I had attributed that to his increasingly older age and a (slight) weight gain. He was looking surprisingly fresh when VAMPS debuted last year, too. But I feel like his face looks natural, and I don't feel like he's very vain, obsessed with his looks, or concerned about how his looks will affect his career at this point.

Do you think he's had any work done? Do you think he'd be the type to maybe try to surgically preserve his looks in the future if he hasn't already?

Any advice on how to do hyde's 'sex!hair' from Vamps lives?
Don't you think it looks like it has been through some serious, raunchy business at night?? XD

Ok, I was just browsing through Yahoo! Answers and I bumped into this little question:

"I was browsing online and I came to a site talking about a recently diseased Hyde, ex vocalist of L'Arc-en-Ciel. I've recently started to like Jrock a lot and I really want to know if its true. I mean it didn't say anything else and haven't found any other site with any news. It's probably all wrong information, but nonetheless I would really like to know what are his plans and what is he doing now."

There was no real answer, so I was just wondering where this person could have gotten this "information"? This seems ridiculous, but I'm rather curious. The whole "ex L'arc" could have been this person's mistake in thinking Hyde's VAMPS tour is his "leaving".

Now, please don't think I'm trying to start anything or upset anyone. I just happened to bump into this and was just wondering how this (hopefully) rumor could have started.

I have a question (obviously), and it's been bothering me every time I see Hyde with a guitar in his hands.

Hydeologists, what would you rate Hyde's p'unk guitar-playing, overall? Is he average? Is he just embarrassing himself? Can he compare to any of the guitarists in other bands?

I am aware the topic of Hyde and plastic surgery has already been brought up--however, I come with comparison pictures to back my post subject up!

So, my question is: Nose job, yes or no? No one really seemed to discuss his nose. And, to me, it seems to come off as the only thing on him to have possibly had work.

I'm not talking Micheal Jackson major removal here, maybe just...skimming a little off, if ya know what I mean.

And I think we all know that, since I'm here, I love Hyde just as much as the rest of you--no bashing intended, I've just been curious to hear someone else's opinion on this.

Hi hi hi! I know I've posted here before...maybe like a billion years ago. xD But I would like your opinion on this question...
How is Hyde viewed in Japan? Or in the Japanese/Asian media? My Japanese friend's sister /hates/ him (please do not send any death threats...I already strung her up by her toenails), and views him as an arrogant, gay whore. (And, no flamming on the gay part, please. We /know/ the truth...xD lol jk)
Like, Angelina Jolie is viewed as a dark, serious, insanely gorgeous, kid/husband plucker and...well, beautiful. (I actually really like her^^)
Does anyone know, or have an idea, how the people and media view him? I was just really curious and wanted to know your thoughts. :)

Does anyone know where haido-san really lives right now? I've heard of him owning the 20th floor of an apartment building, and his 2.5 B yen mansion with his wife but they say that he doesn't live there anymore.. so can anyone tell me where he really lives? um. if you have pictures please also post them.. arigatou!

Hello, everybody! Long time, no how you doin'. ;-)

hydeology has gotten a makeover with a new layout, new graphics, and a new userinfo. Though I am contemplating adding something more to the userinfo once I figure out what I want to add to it! I hope everyone likes the new look. hydeology hasn't had an update layout-wise for a while now, and I grew tired of the old layout.

Honestly, I wanted to run for the hills at first. Go me for not getting all the news updates and interviews regarding it (hey, hey, hey! life was busy! >.>) because I was beginning to think Hyde hit a midlife crisis. Then, din_84 pointed me in the direction of much interviewy goodness, and well. It grew on me. xD

At least he's kickin' back and having fun with it. Hyde looks lost without a mike or guitar in his hands.

Hi! I'm new to this community and all, but I have gone through all of the entries pretty much. It's so interesting to see so many people discussing our favorite jrocker. hehehe.

I just have a few questions.

1. I saw this one video clip (which I can't find anymore but I really wish I could ~~so if anyone knows where it could they let me know?)~~ where laruku is performing live (can't remember which song) but in their normal positions (hyde vo., ken guitar, yuki drums, tetsu bass) and then they stop and I think Yukihiro takes the vocals, Ken does the bass, Tetsu does the guitar and I remember for sure that Hyde does the drums. And they played a song like that and it was really good.

So besides the fact that I thought that was BEYOND cool and amazing. It'd be cool to hear some of your opinions on it and also do you know if they can all interchange and stuff?

2. I know that Hyde is interested in art and says that if he wasn't colorblind (I think, right?) that he would prob. have taken up painting instead of music, but how good is he?

Do you have any examples of things he has drawn?

This is my first time posting on here. Actually my first time posting on anywhere, so I am nervous~ XD
I am guessing that we have all seen the clip of Hyde getting kissed by the hosts of HEY HEY HEY!
I love that clip. But wherever I see it, it is only about 30 seconds or so long.
And I need help, does anyone have or know where I could see or get the whole show?
I have never seen anything longer than that I would LOVE to see the whole thing!
If anyone has any info or links or anything I would grandly appreciate it!

we've seen Hyde with L'Arc, shaking his booty and looking totally vibrant, and we've seen him letting out his inner angst beast on stage while solo.

My question for you guys is: which side of Hyde do you think is the most representative of him? The silly, more feminine lead singer or the masculine rock star? Just one, or both?

hey, my name's xiaou, I'm a newbie to the HYDE fannation and I recently had the pleasure of finding FAITH CD+DVD album. as I was flipping through the booklet (which was really weird in the way it was designed, font all over the place, but I digress) and in the first track Jesus Christ are these lyrics sung in english:

...the deepest trust, I won't leave you
but my child is fading, an innocent
...I'd do anything to save this life
take me instead

does anybody know what they could mean, is it metaphorical or biblical, or is he referring to a child in his life (aka his own?)

PS: do you spell it HYDE or Hyde?
