This silly question has been gnawing me for months so I decide to ask it here:

Any advice on how to do hyde's 'sex!hair' from Vamps lives?
Don't you think it looks like it has been through some serious, raunchy business at night?? XD

But really, I want to try that sexy hair look but other than pouring a bottle of hair wax, I know not how to do it. Help!

If you're familiar with the Gatsby hair wax, you can check out an English site here (http://gatsby.sg). The loose shuffle one is good for that kind of wave work (or you can find an equivalent, obviously, but it holds pretty nicely and you can get it on Amazon for cheapish - I don't know what you have, though, so maybe you won't need to buy anything else anyway!). You just need something with hold, smear it between your fingers and twist locks of hair around them. There's even a video series on the site to give you some visual tips if you need them, though they aren't too exciting.

Also, if you have a slim-barreled flat iron, you could do drop curls and just comb them out a little. Take a lock, grab it as if to straighten it, and then twist it as you head down. But you'd still need product to keep them intact. ... Or a curling iron could even work better, if you were quick so the curls wouldn't set too solidly. I guess you'd just have to experiment if you have any of these available to you.

I hope this helps a little. ^^;

Good luck, yeah! I just thought of another corner-cutting technique that could work without styling irons. Braiding your hair in separate braids when it's wet and blow-drying them, so it dries wavy, that could definitely help give you some kind of style to follow and perfect.

oh my god, for a moment i thought you were talking about his pit hair and i got all excited because i thought someone else understood my fetish! ohohoho!

but no, now, back to topic. i think Hyde's hair, if i'm not wrong has been permed, just slightly though to give it that kind of texture. but i used to do that to my unpermed hair before, good wax or clay is crucial. gatsby doesn't really hold for me. i use this japanese hair wax that is awesome called B:Oce. i got it from a salon and i have no idea if its sold where you are, it holds really well though and isn't as "oily" as gatsby's wax. if not, then just good hair wax or clay will do, try to get those that are good for tweaking and also has a good hold.

spread a small amt of wax all over your palm and fingers and scrunch up sections of your hair; not too much or it will be heavy, just enough so that your hair will have texture. then, again get a small amount of wax and this time concentrate on areas that you will tweak/curl. run your hand through those sections, raking downwards then scrunch up at the bottom and then at the middle, as if grabbing hair. then, the last bit would be to tweak the edges of a few sections of your hair, like tweaking and twirling it. that should give it a slightly, wavy, mused look.

i hope it was understandable. =x

yes! hyde's pit hair is just nice! its sexy and he keeps it neat! <3333

i hate it when other men have overgrown pithairs. EEW, i feel like burning them. i think one person that scared me with pit hair was a lady. that was srsly; TRAUMATIZING. i have never been so afraid.

Lucidol isn't too bad, its almost like Gatsby though. but its alot lighter in texture, and i'm not too sure about the holding power.

i'm glad i could help! <3

thats the thing with most hair waxes out there recently. i was so happy when i found B:Oce, even though its harder to get and a little more pricey, but it holds well without the oily shine or greasiness. the greasiness is a big no-no!

LMAO. LOL. LOOOOOOOOL. i know the Cecilia Cheung hair-raising thingy... i was shocked too.

i used gatsby before boce too. the gatsby moving rubber range is good too. i used the purple and pink ones before. holding power is fine, and not as oily as lucidol.

hahah, yeah i am. singaporean. =p
